Privacy statement

1. Who is responsible

2. What we process

   Only what you send us yourself through the contact form or by email: your name, your email address, your company name if you give it, and the content of your message. Our hosting provider also keeps technical log files, including IP addresses, to keep the website running and to prevent abuse. We use visitor statistics without cookies and without individual profiles: we see aggregated figures, not people.

3. Why, and on what basis

   We use your details to answer your question and to prepare the scan or the assignment you ask for. The legal basis is the performance of, or preparation for, a contract (article 6.1.b GDPR) and our legitimate interest in running and securing our own services (article 6.1.f GDPR). We do not use your details for advertising and we do not sell them.

4. How long we keep it

   Messages that do not lead to a collaboration are deleted no later than twenty-four months after the last contact. If you become a client, we keep what we are legally required to keep, first of all the accounting records, for the statutory period.

5. Who we share it with

   Only with the service providers needed to run this site and our mailbox: our hosting provider and our email provider, each as a processor and under a data processing agreement. Some of those parties are established in the United States; that transfer takes place under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Beyond that we share nothing with third parties, except where the law requires us to.

6. Cookies

   This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner. Your language choice may be stored locally in your browser; it does not leave your device.

7. Your rights

   You have the right to access, correct, delete and restrict your data, the right to object to the processing, and the right to portability. One email to info@devbeans.be is enough. We answer within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can lodge a complaint with the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit (Belgian Data Protection Authority), Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussel, contact@apd-gba.be.
